Kerensa Vinson In 1991, she was searching for more of God, while attending other churches. She sensed a need for something more. While on her job, she met several saints from the Church of God at 4601 S. Drexel Blvd in Chicago. On three separate occasions, she met other saints, outside of her job. Each one directed her to 4601 S. Drexel Blvd. In his great love and mercy, God led her to the true Church of God. In 1992, she repented of her sins, left false religion and the world to follow Jesus.

After years of living true to God as a single mother, the Lord sent Brother Terrence Vinson to her and her daughter. They fell in love and married on July 15, 2000. A little later, the Lord blessed them with another daughter.

In seeking the Lord for years and sensing a burden for God to use her, she struggled to understand it, step out on faith, and accept the call. She prayerfully consulted with her Pastor over time and embraced her calling to the ministry in the fall of 2017; she then, declared it to the congregation shortly thereafter.

Initially God used Isaiah 6:8 to challenge her, then John 15:16 to confirm to her his will for her life, to serve. She desires to impact as many lives as possible for Christ. She is endeavoring to fulfill the calling and work the Lord has placed upon her and to hear him say well done good and faithful servant.
