Clothing Drives
The Church of God continually reaches out to the need of the community. This past winter, we reached and exceeded our goal to collect 200 coats. The coats were delivered to the DOOR OF HOPE RESCUE MISSION who distributed them on behalf of THE CHURCH OF GOD to those in need. Not only did this meet a natural need in the community, but it also fulfilled a spiritual need by communicating the love of God to the people.
School Supplies for Students
One of the exciting things about starting school each year is having new school supplies. For many children, this does not always happen. Join us each summer in helping to provide tools for the school year by donating backpacks, notebooks, pencils and more for those in need.
Haiti
Months after the earthquake that hit Haiti on Jan 10 2010, over 10,000 people are still living under tents and tarpaulins. Only a fraction of the rubble has cleared and more than 4,600 were killed by cholera. We have provided monetary support and prayers to the unfortunate through the Church of God, Far Rockaway, NY Haitian mission.
Katrina
Thank God for the many letters we received, thanking the congregation for the love and outreach shown to various families affected by Hurricane Katrina.
